the covidian garden party
The resulting artists-book comprises 24 images with a story about a vision the artist had about one’s sense of purpose. The curation of the images was determined by the order in which the guest’s arrived at the party (via the postal service). The book is 60+ pages, can be read as a book or displayed as a stand alone circular sculpture with a diameter of approximately 12 feet (3.6 m). The work was commissioned by Two Rivers Gallery in 2020 and is featured in their 2021 exhibition ‘The Covidian Garden Party – a coming of age’.
The project was realized on the unceded traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh in north central British Columbia, Canada
